Calling for Women in the Press Room to apply for Training and Mentorship


The WAN's IFRA, Women in the News in East and Central Africa program is calling for application from women in the media and senior position in the press rooms in Tanzania to apply for a 6 month training programs which begins in November 2015 to June 2015. The program include an exposure to a selected University in SA, and several workshop, person to person and mentorship exposures within and outside the country. The project previous success stories from program include vertical and horizontal  promotion of some of majority of the graduates and presentation of academic certificates from an international university.

This note therefore calls for interested women from print and digital media to apply by November 6th, 2015.

As a Tanzania Journalist, media expert and a TV producer and host, I am proud to be associated with this unique project, you may wish to know that the organisers have asked me to join the program as a National Mentor and I have accepted. This means I will be sitting on the drivers seat here in Tanzania to ensure that your participation is nothing but an enjoyable time and successful mission.  Please fill the application form and send it to the indicated address to reach them by November 6th, 2015. Remember, there are more than 3 participating countries including Malawi and Kenya where each country has about 8 positions. Fellow Tanzanians its time to claim our place in the region as a country with more resources, more people, more and peaceful people, and of course sharp and aggressive women in the media.
